POPP offers pets for adoption Saturdays in Richland, Kennewick

Tri-City HeraldJuly 24, 2013

Pet Over Population Prevention will introduce a new dog at its dog adoption event Saturdays from 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the POPP center, 524-B Railroad St., Richland.

It also holds cat/kitten adoptions Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at PetSmart, Canal Drive, Kennewick.

Sally, a 10-month-old brindled boxer/greyhound mix pup with a calm nature, is the newest dog to become part of the pet center.

"Sally is house-trained, good with children and other dogs and cats," said POPP director Molli Van Dorn of Pasco. "She was abandoned with her siblings on a farm outside of Pasco. A very nice man took responsibility for all three dogs to prevent them from being shot as they were eating chickens to survive."
