Dust Devils lose close one to Everett

July 23, 2013

The Everett AquaSox broke a tie in the bottom of the ninth on Jack Reinheimer’s bases-loaded walk to walk off with a 3-2 victory over the Tri-City Dust Devils in the first game of the season’s second half before 1,424 fans at Everett Memorial Stadium on Tuesday.

Justin Seager was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs and Steven Ewing turned in his second straight quality start to help lead the AquaSox.

After trading zeroes for the first three innings, the AquaSox finally broke their 21-inning scoreless streak with a run off Johendi Jiminian in the fourth.

Jiminian finished the fourth inning and worked the fifth before leaving the ballgame after giving up just one run on two hits. He struck out six and walked three, all in the third inning.

Ashley Graeter hit a two-run homer in the sixth to give Tri-City a 2-1 lead.
