Ex-Othello teacher faces child molestation charge

By The Tri-City HeraldJuly 23, 2013

OTHELLO -- A former Othello school teacher has been charged with first-degree child molestation.

Lisa Davis was charged Friday, and is scheduled to appear in Adams County Superior Court on Monday. She allegedly had inappropriate behavior with a 10-year-old male student in one of her classes.

The Othello Police Department had been investigating allegations of "unprofessional behavior" against Davis, a former Scootney Springs Elementary School fifth-grade teacher. Davis, 48, recently resigned from the school.

The case was referred to the Adams County Prosecutor's Office earlier this month.
