Ben Franklin Transit to provide rides to Columbia Cup

Ben Franklin Transit will provide shuttle service for people attending the Lamb Weston Columbia Cup races Saturday and Sunday.

Shuttles will leave at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. both days from the Knight Street Transit Center in Richland and the Huntington Transit Center in Kennewick. They will drop passengers off at a designated area in Columbia Park.

The last shuttle will leave to head back to the transit centers 15 minutes after the last race, but they will also be available to go back at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Fares are $1.50 per person each way and $4 for a family of up to five. Regular Ben Franklin Transit tickets and passes will not be accepted Sunday except for Freedom passes.

Dial-A-Ride service will be available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday for eligible people. Reservations must be made by 5 p.m. Thursday fro Friday’s races and by noon Friday for Saturday and Sunday races. To make reservations, call 735-0160.
