The Historic Downtown Prosser Association is sponsoring the Bachelor Auction: Handymen and Hunks.

The event begins at 7 p.m. Aug. 2 at the Walter Clore Center, 2140 Wine County Road, Prosser.

There will be dinner, a live and silent auction and live entertainment. Participants will have the opportunity to bid on the "most eligible bachelors in the area," according to a news release.

Tickets cost $40 in advance or $45 at the door and can be purchased at historicprosser.org.

All of the proceeds will go to replace the fountain in Whitehead Park.
