Letter: Thank you to our elected officials for the tour and their service

July 18, 2013

We are the Pacific Northwest History students of Country Christian School in Pasco. We recently took a trip to Olympia where we got to visit our Capitol buildings. We are extremely ecstatic that so many people took time out of their bustling schedules just to show us around the capitol campus. Our extremely knowledgeable tour guide showed us the buildings and shared many intriguing facts with us. Pam, Representative Schmick's assistant, then gave a much more extensive tour of the campus. Lead Republican Senator Schoesler even took time to speak to us and show us the Senate Floor.

We were pleased to learn the number of Christians in our state government. They courageously stand up for their beliefs, and they strive to exhibit trustworthiness. They are loyal to God's Word and the promises they make. These public servants make a tremendous amount of sacrifices that may not be known or seen. We thank the Lord for the Godly men and women who serve in our government!
