Titans sweep CWL champion Bandits in regular season finale

By the Tri-City HeraldJuly 17, 2013

Despite being swept by the Twin City Titans on Wednesday night, the Kennewick Bandits still walked away with the Central Washington League American Legion title.

The Titans (15-13) beat the Bandits 6-0 and 10-6 at Richland High School, getting home runs on the night from Hunter Chambers and Mason Hilty.

“It’s a tough league,” said Titans manager Pete Marquez. “The Bandits have a quality team and the Yakima teams came out to play. You have to come to play every day. A new season starts Saturday.”

The Bandits will host the district tournament, starting Saturday at Roy Johnson Field.
