Annual Kid’s Fishing Day at Jubilee Lake set Sunday

— The annual Kid’s Fishing Day at Jubilee Lake is open to kids 14 years old and younger and runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

Fishing is free. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Fishing poles will be available for those who do not have one. Volunteers will be on site to provide assistance.

Prizes will be awarded to the children in each age group who capture the biggest fish.

There will also be free hot dogs and soda.

This year’s event is sponsored by the Tri-State Steelheaders and the Umatilla National Forest.

The lake is off Forest Road 64 near Tollgate, Ore., northeast of Pendleton. From Highway 11 at Weston, Ore., take Highway 204 to Tollgate and turn left on Forest Road 64.
