Golf, auction event July 20-21 will benefit autism group

Olie Kolzig and Stu Barnes, former Tri-City Americans hockey players, are sponsoring the annual Desert Bash Golf Tournament and Auction.

The tournament begins July 20 at the Meadow Springs County Club.

The auction will benefit the Carson Kolzig Foundation. Carson Kolzig, Olie Kolzig's son, was diagnosed with autism in 2002.

The tournament has raised more than a million dollars for autism programs in the past decade.

Tickets for the Heroes Barbecue are $50. The event will be from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. July 20 at the Gordon Estate Vineyard, 671 Levey Road, Pasco.

Tickets are available for the live and silent auction for $100. The auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. July 21 at Meadow Springs County Club.

Golf packages are available through July 19.
