Pasco boy improving after two-car collision

Tri-City HeraldJuly 12, 2013

An 8-year-old Pasco boy thrown from a car was listed in satisfactory condition Friday at a Spokane hospital.

Frank Rodriguez, 8, was ejected from a Subaru driven by Myra Pacheco of Prosser when she collided Thursday with a Ford Taurus at the intersection of interstates 82 and 182 near Richland, said the Washington State Patrol.

Rodriguez was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. The driver of the second car, Kindra Tunnell of Benton City, was in stable condition Friday night at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.

Pacheco, who was not hospitalized, was cited for an unsafe lane change and failing to restrain a child, WSP said.
