Asia nuclear politics on Badger Club agenda

Nuclear politics in East Asia will be discussed by a University of Puget Sound professor at the July 19 lunch meeting of the Columbia Basin Badger Club.

Kelly Erickson has been asked to discuss whether North Korea will be able to develop a deployable nuclear weapon and the future of U.S.-China relations.

He'll also discuss the U.S. global security focus, implications of the East Asia security situation on alliance dynamics and nuclear proliferation.

The event is at 11:30 a.m. at the Kennewick Red Lion. Cost is $22, and reservations must be made by noon July 16 at or by calling a message line at 509-736-1979.
