— A Montana teen died when the truck she was riding in rolled near Lind, said the Washington State Patrol.

Ryan W. Ek, 18, was driving Sunday on Highway 395 in a Chevy Avalanche when he drifted off the road and rolled around 6:30 p.m. His passenger, Abernathy R. Lineesa, 18, died at the scene, the patrol said.

Ek was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, the release said. Ek was in satisfactory condition Monday evening, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

Both teens were wearing seat belts, and officials do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved.
