The stretch of Stevens Drive from Van Giesen to Catskill streets in Richland will close during the day starting Monday through mid-August for a utility project. The roadway will reopen in the evenings, with both lanes of traffic shifting to the southbound lanes, a city news release said.

“For those traveling through north Richland on Stevens, please avoid the .75-mile section between Van Giesen and Catskill during the day and use caution during the evening. Those living in this area have been notified,” the release said.

Street parking is prohibited in the area while the project is under way, the news release said.

The city also is kicking off its Saint/Spengler Overlay Project today. Local access still will be available while the project is going on, the news release said. Spengler is scheduled to be done in late August and Saint in the fall, the release said.
