Dust Devils beat Boise again

The offense continued to produce for the Tri-City Dust Devils on Saturday night in a 5-3 victory over the the Boise Hawks at Memorial Stadium.

Tri-City jumped out to a three-run advantage in the top of the first inning and never trailed in the game.

The Dust Devils escaped trouble in the bottom of the seventh inning when the team’s two-run lead was in jeopardy. Boise loaded the bases with no outs, but Tri-City got out of the jam without allowing a run.

Starter Johendi Jiminian picked up his first win of the season and closer Trent Daniel notched his third save.

The road series with the Hawks continues today. Tri-City will send right-hander Ryan Warner to the mound in the fourth game of the series. Boise will counter with former first-round pick Paul Blackburn.

The Dust Devils will return home Wednesday to begin a five-game series with the Hillsboro Hops.
