A day with the Walla Walla Sweets

July 6, 2013

I'm not the biggest baseball fan, but there's something about going to the ballpark.

With free ticket to the Walla Walla Sweets on July 4, the hubby and I went to the game and watched as they defeated the Kitsap Bluejackets 5-4 at Borleske Stadium.

Playing first base and batting fourth for the Sweets was former Southridge High standout Matt Mendenhall. Mendy played QB for two years with our kid as his center. Those were the days.

As with every event, I had to take pictures. Just gotta love mascot Sweet Lou. He looks a little surly, but he's quite the fan friendly onion.
