Police: Three Kennewick teens arrested for prostitution, assault

July 3, 2013

— Three Kennewick teenagers were arrested recently for allegedly pressuring a 15-year-old girl into prostitution, police said.

Deepak Singh Samra, 19, his 16-year-old girlfriend and a 14-year-old, pressured the girl to have sex with an adult male within the last two months for $60, said Kennewick police Sgt. Ken Lattin. The teens gave the girl $10 of the money.

On June 12, the girls pressured the victim to have sex again and she refused, Lattin said. The 14-year-old told the victim she “cost her four-hundred dollars” and the 16-year-old attempted to assault her.

The victim and a friend walked to 7-11 on Clearwater Ave., where the teens saw them and the 14-year-old started punching the victim, Lattin said. Samra was also there and allegedly told the girl to knee the victim in the face.

All three suspects then left together in a car, Lattin said.

On June 27, police arrested both girls at a house on the 3500 block of W. Hood Ave. Samra was arrested a day later.

The teens could face abuse and assault charges.

The case is still under investigation and police believe other suspects may be involved.
