Sleeping driver rolls car north of Pasco

— A Kennewick man who fell asleep at the wheel rolled his car Tuesday afternoon on Highway 395, sending his passenger to the hospital, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Leonel Alvarez Guzman, 24, was driving a 1990 Honda Civic south on Highway 395 at 4:30 p.m. about three miles north of Pasco on Highway 395. The car drifted into the median and rolled, WSP said.

Passenger Martin A. Ramirez, 21, of Pasco, was injured and taken to Lourdes Medical Center with unknown injuries, WSP said.

Alvarez Guzman wasn’t injured. The car was totaled. Both men were wearing seat belts, WSP said.
