A Walla Walla man was arrested Monday on suspicion of two felony vehicular assault counts after reportedly admitting he was drinking alcohol before driving and colliding with another car sending four people to the hospital, Walla Walla police said.

Jesus T. Sosapavon, 18, was taken into custody after being treated for minor injuries after a Friday night accident in the 500 block of Washington Street in Walla Walla.

Walla Walla Police spokesman Officer Tim Bennett said Sosapavon drove a borrowed 2000 Pontiac into a parked 2012 Dodge sport utility vehicle at a high speed just before 10:30 p.m.

Police said Sosapavon missed a curve in the road when he lost control.

No one was in the SUV, but all four of the occupants of the Pontiac were taken to area hospitals, two of them unconscious, police said. The three passengers, ages 16 and 17, were treated and later released.

Police said most of the people in the Pontiac were not wearing seatbelts.
