Locals find their way at National Junior High Finals Rodeo

Miles Barry of Kennewick finished 17th out of 111 competitors in the NRA Light Rifle Shooting on Wednesday at the National Junior High Finals Rodeo in Gallup, N.M.

Barry, who will be a seventh grader at Park Middle School, finished with a combined score (prone and kneeling) of 173. Cooper Champneys of Idaho won with a score of 221.

Dreyden Devers of Kennewick was 46th with a score of 131.

After the first round of barrel racing, Taylor Turner of Burbank was 51st with a time of 16.701 seconds.

The first round of chute dogging has Baley Westberg of Kennewick sitting 30th with a time of 4.283 seconds, while Devers was 91st at 20.01 seconds.
