by The Tri-City HeraldJune 28, 2013

The playground at the Southridge Sports and Events Complex in Kennewick will close Monday and Tuesday while a gazebo is moved.

This will be the first step in the Carousel of Dreams construction project.

A crane will be used to move the gazebo, a city news release said.

The complex's aquatic playground also is closed for the summer as the carousel work begins, the release said.

Three other aquatic playgrounds in the city are open from 10 a.m. to dusk through Labor Day weekend.

They are in Columbia Park next to the Playground of Dreams, at Highlands Grange Park at 1600 S. Union St. and at Underwood Park at 2020 W. Seventh Ave.

The Southridge sports complex is at 2901 Southridge Blvd.
