Three injured after car strikes elk near Burbank

Three Tri-City men were hospitalized after the car they were riding in hit an elk early Thursday near Burbank.

Marcelo Bahena-Rodriguez, 28, of Kennewick, struck an elk that was in Sun Harbor Road while driving a 1993 Honda Accord at 4:36 a.m., Washington State Patrol said. Also injured in the accident eight miles east of Burbank were Jesus A. Ramirez, 21, and Juan C. Ochoa-Patricio, 18, both of Pasco.

All three men were taken by ambulance to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, WSP said.
