The Ye Merrie Greenwood Renaissance Faire is June 29-30 at Howard Amon Park in Richland.

Now in its 27th year, the faire features jousting knights, fancy sword play, fair damsels, jugglers, minstrels and plenty of lords and ladies.

There'll also be plenty of new performers making their debut this year, says Marjorie Kunigisky, faire director.

"We have new demonstrating groups and audience interactive groups," she said. "And, sometimes Cap'n Jack Sparrow shows up and wanders the Faire, too. That's never certain as you know how much of a whimsical person Jack Sparrow is." Five stages will be scattered throughout the park with an eclectic mix of performances, both musical and dramatic, throughout the weekend.

Faire hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. General admission is $9 for one day, $7 for kids age 5-12, and free for kids 4 and younger. A two-day pass is $12 or $9 for ages 5-12. A family pass is $38 for two adults and two children.

Tickets available at the gate. A full schedule of events is online at
