UPDATE: Othello man identified as Pasco wreck victim

The driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee was killed Monday evening when he apparently crossed the centerline on Oregon Avenue near the Highway 395 overpass and crashed head-on into a semi-truck and tractor. The accident happened about 7:15 p.m. Both lanes of Oregon are closed while the Washington State Patrol investigates. The truck driver does not appear to be hurt.

— An Othello man was identified this morning as the driver who was killed in a Monday night collision in Pasco.

The Washington State Patrol said Victor M. Rebuelta , 37, was speeding south on Highway 397 in a 1999 Jeep Cherokee when he missed a curve, crossed the center line and hit a semi-truck and tractor head-on.

Rebuelta was wearing a seat belt but died at the scene. The truck driver Steven C. Loreng, 42, of Pasco, was not hurt.

The accident happened near Oregon Street.
