— A Pasco teen who was hospitalized last week with a gunshot wound died Monday at Kennewick General Hospital.

Pedro Jimenez-Sotano, 15, and a group of juveniles were playing with a handgun inside a Pasco apartment June 19 when the gun went off, said Pasco police Capt. Jim Raymond. The bullet hit Jimenez-Sotano in the head and he was taken to KGH.

Police are investigating the incident as an accidental shooting, Raymond said.

Police do not believe the Chiawana High School student shot himself intentionally.

Columbia Memorial Funeral Chapel and Gardens in Pasco will handle the arrangements.
