Letter: McMorris-Rodgers' support of Keystone pipeline matches constituents' views

June 24, 2013

Letter writer Paul Franzmann ("Keystone support misguided," June 12) objects to U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris-Rodgers' support for a bill that would approve the Keystone XL pipeline.

Franzmann claims McMorris-Rodgers is not paying attention to her constituency on this issue but does not explain how this is the case. McMorris-Rodgers represents a conservative congressional district, and I suspect that a majority of her constituents support her view. At least she was quite clear where she stands on the issue.
