Pasco man allegedly points rifle in escalating arguement

June 23, 2013

— A Pasco man was in police custody after he allegedly threatened another Pasco man with a rifle after an argument escalated Sunday evening.

One man was driving in the area of Road 36 and Argent Place near the soccer fields when he had to stop because another man was backing out of his driveway at about 6 p.m., said Pasco Police Sgt. Ben Majetich.

The two men began to argue, with the first man blaming the other for backing out and the neighborhood resident claiming that the other man was speeding through his neighborhood and needed to leave his street, he said.

The neighborhood resident apparently went back into his home, grabbed a rifle, and allegedly pointed it at the other man, Majetich said.

The other man then called police, he said.

Pasco police were in the process of obtaining a search warrant for the home on Sunday evening. No other details were available at that time.
