Letter: Legislature's inability to do its job in alloted time befuddling

June 21, 2013

I see that the Legislature still is in session. Gov. Jay Insee has asked for yet another special session? Why?

Isn't the whole reason for them to be in session to legislate on and pass a budget? Why is this not the first order of business instead of having to be called back for, not one but two, special sessions? Are they looking for a full-time job?

The governor of Texas says that his state gets along very well with their legislative body meeting only every two years. What is wrong here?
