AppleSox 2-0, Sweets 1-2: Chris Lovejoy threw a one-hit shutout, striking out four to help Walla Walla capture the second game of a West Coast League doubleheader at Borleske Stadium on Thursday.

Matt Mendenhall was 1-for-4 in the opener for the Sweets.

Derek Seely drove in three runs for Kennewick, while Colton Spriggle pitched a one-hitter with four strikeouts.

In the nightcap, Jake Ebberts drove in two runs as Kennewick (6-4) held off Finley 5-3 in six innings. The game was called because of the time limit.
