4-H Equine Training School set June 28-30 in Yakima

— Registration now is open for the Yakima County 4-H Equine Training School.

Workshops will be offered June 28-30 at the state fair park in Yakima.

Participants in the regular workshop series must be 8 years and older and bring a horse to work with.

There also is a program for children ages 5 and older who will train without a horse. This is for children interested in basic horse care, safety and behavior.

Cost is $115 per person for the regular program and $20 per person for the “horseless” program.

All participants must be enrolled in 4-H.
