Cool Desert Nights continues June 21-23

Cool Desert Nights continues June 21-23 in Richland, featuring a swath of vintage to new cars parading through town, street dances, an autocross, show ‘n’ shines, car cruises, and pancake breakfasts.

About 150 cars from all over the country are expected to take part.

On June 21, there will be a show ‘n’ shine from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Les Schwab Tire Center, 2825 Queensgate Drive in Richland. Then, from 7 to 9 p.m., there will be a participant car cruise through Richland.

Nasty Jack and Colorblind will provide the music for the street dance from 8 p.m. to midnight at Jack-son's, corner of Lee Boulevard and George Washington Way. Admission is $7 at the door.

On June 22 the Kiwanis pancake breakfast will be from 7 to 11 a.m. at the gazebo at Jefferson Park, across the street from the Uptown Shopping Center on George Washington Way. Cost is $6.

A show ‘n' shine is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Uptown Shopping Center and Jefferson Park. There also will be live music, vendors and food concessions throughout the day in the Uptown parking lot.

A bus pull for Special Olympics and poker walk start at 9 a.m. Slow drags start at noon with Richland firefighters playing host. Car award ceremony starts at 3 p.m.

The Eclectic Approach will rock the night away at the street dance starting at 8 p.m. at Jack-son's. Cost is $10 at the gate. On June 23 the autocross is planned from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tri-City Raceway, corner of Keene and Van Giesen in West Richland.

Participation fee is $10 for three runs around the track. No spectator fee.
