Update: Teen in critical condition with gunshot wound

By The Tri-City HeraldJune 19, 2013

— A teenage boy is in critical condition Thursday at Kennewick General Hospital from a gunshot wound.

The shooting is being investigated as a possible accidental shooting, said Capt. Jim Raymond. A group of juveniles were reportedly playing with the handgun when it went off.

Police do not believe the boy shot himself intentionally, Raymond said.

Pasco police were dispatched to an apartment in the 200 block of South Owen Avenue just before 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Pasco police told the Herald on Wednesday night the boy had died from the gunshot wound.
