Climate literacy topic of event set Friday

A climate literacy event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the Richland Public Library, 955 Northgate Drive in conference rooms A and B.

Activities will include a demonstration of global warming, a poster display on climate variability and hourly showings of two short films.

Meteorologists and area scientists will be available to answer questions.

Climate-related films and books from the library's collection will be on display.
