AquaSox hold off Dust Devils

June 19, 2013

Peter Tago lost his second consecutive start Wednesday, lasting just 41⁄3 innings as the Tri-City Dust Devils lost 4-3 to the host Everett AquaSox.

Tago, a former first-round draft pick, gave up four runs — three earned — on three hits.

The Dust Devils attempted to rally in the ninth, but came up just short.

Tri-City had the tying run at second base with one out, but Wilfredo Rodriguez struck out and Jose Monzon grounded out to end the game. The Dust Devils scored all three of their runs in the ninth.

Michael Tauchman went 4-for-5 with an RBI to lead the offense.
