Richland police searching for robbery suspect

Tri-City HeraldJune 17, 2013

— Richland police are looking for a suspect who pulled a gun on a convenience store employee Sunday night and stole cash.

The suspect came into Lucky Foodmart on Goethals Drive in Richland at 9:25 p.m. and told the employee he had the “munchies," police said.

The man waited for a customer to leave the store before he pulled a handgun and demanded money.

Once the man got an undisclosed amount of cash, he ran from the store, police said. The employee saw a car leaving Goethals Drive heading north a short time later.

Another person reported seeing a red Chevrolet north of the store around the same time the robbery happened, police said.

Police are looking for the suspect, who is described as 5-foot-10 to 5’11, with dark hair and a mustache. He was wearing a white shirt under a flannel jacket, black jean shorts, and a black hat.

Anyone with information about the robbery should contact the Richland Police Department at 509-942-7340 or 509-628-0333.
