Dust Devils begin workouts at Gesa Stadium Monday

June 9, 2013

With their Northwest League opener just five days away, the Tri-City Dust Devils will hold their first official workout of 2013 at Gesa Stadium at 12:30 p.m. Monday.

There are plenty of familiar names returning from the 2012 squad, including infielders Patrick Hutcheson, Alex Mehrten and Zach Osborne; outfielder Jared Berggren and pitchers Trent Blank, Chris Dennis and Peter Tago.

The Dust Devils will feature a brand new coaching staff led by manager Drew Saylor. He’ll be joined by pitching coach Francisco Gonzales and hitting coach Warren Schaeffer. The workout is open to the public.

Tri-City will begin its season at 7:15 p.m. Friday with the first game of a three-game series against the Vancouver Canadians.
