Downtown Kennewick will give the community a free musical fix each Friday throughout the summer when the Friday Fix summer music series begins June 14.

Kicking off the series will be Too Slim and the Taildraggers, who play a mix of rock and blues. Opening for Too Slim is the Tri-Cities' own resident crooner Faith Martin.

The summer series, sponsored by Legends Casino, the Historic Downtown Kennewick Partnership and Townsquare Media, is from 5 to 9 p.m. each Friday at Keewaydin Park, across from Kennewick High School on Dayton Street.

Besides a mix of all kinds of music each week, there will be food booths and other vendors on site.

There is no admission fee.

Here's the schedule:

-- June 14: Too Slim and the Taildraggers and Faith Martin

-- June 21: Brewer's Grade, a country band formerly known as Unwound Underground

-- June 28: The Village Musicians, rock, funk and indie

-- July 5: No events because of the holiday
