Workshop to focus on 'Honeycrisp Experience'

Registration is now open for a new workshop series called "Honeycrisp Experience: Production, Harvest and Storage."

The workshop will explain how to grow the tree and produce a viable crop.

The series is divided into three parts. The first section is the Summer Orchard Tours. Participants will meet from 4 to 6 p.m. June 11-13.

The second section is the Pre-Harvest Orchard Tour, which will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 10, 12 and 17.

The final section is the Research-to-Practice workshop, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Dec 5 at the Wenatchee Convention Center.

The orchards that will be visited are BMR Orchards in Royal Slope, Maverick Orchard in Brewster and Chiawana Orchards in Gleed.

The cost is $100 for the entire series or $80 for the final workshop.
