Walla Walla woman injured in two car accident

May 30, 2013

One woman was injured when two cars collided at 12:40 p.m. on Thursday near Walla Walla on Highway 125 at the intersection with the Old Milton-Freewater Highway.

Maclovia Kroum, 77, of Walla Walla had stopped her 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier sedan at the light on the Old Milton-Freewater Highway when her vehicle was hit from the rear, reported the Washington State Patrol.

She was injured and taken to Walla Walla General Hospital. Officers said in a press release that Peter L. Pope, 69, of Richland, failed to stop and hit her car due to inattention.

Pope was not injured.

Both his 2004 Dodge Caravan van and Kroum’s car were totaled.
