Silverwood to debut 2 new rides this year

By the Herald staffMay 23, 2013

Silverwood Theme Park will debut two new rides this year when it opens for the season on May 25. The park is north of Coeur d'Alene.

The new rides are the 104-foot SpinCycle thrill ride. The cylindrical-shaped apparatus rotates 360 degrees at 13 revolutions per minute, spinning 3 1/2 times the normal gravitational pull.

Then there's the Barnstormer, a family-friendly ride that gives visitors the sensation they are flying freely among the clouds.
