Tri-City photographer plans Dayton workshop

Tri-City photographer John Clement will conduct a photography workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 8 at the Wenaha Gallery, 219 E. Main St., in Dayton.

Participants will learn about composition and essential tools for capturing moments through a camera lens, lighting on big and small scales, how weather affects images, and techniques about digital camera settings for the best images.

Cost is $125 and includes lunch, wine tasting at Dumas Station and an afternoon photo shoot with field work instruction. For those with an interest in spending the night in Dayton, a package deal for accommodations at the historic Weinhard Hotel, the workshop and continental breakfast is $250.

Clement also will hold a photography workshop in Dufur, Ore., on June 19-20. That seminar costs $192 and includes accommodations at the historic Balch Hotel, breakfast and a sack lunch. For reservations, call 541-467-2277.
