Thankful Thursday: Theater arts enrich Pasco high schools

May 23, 2013

I want to thank the Pasco School District for its ongoing efforts to incorporate the arts across the curriculum. The arts help students approach learning in different ways and gives them lifelong skills. Theater is one way this is done. The recent production of In the Heights by Pasco High School is a fine example.

Chiawana High School brought us CLUE. Director Todd Westendorf has staged this spoof on the popular Parker Brothers board game three times at Pasco schools.

Please support and attend student and community lead theater and music productions as well as professional presentations across the region. We are fortunate to have so many dedicated, talented and passionate people working to bring the arts to us. Take your students to these shows and help give them a heart for the arts. It is not only fun, it also truly enriches all our lives.
