Ovarian Cancer Together holding walk Saturday in Richland

Ovarian Cancer Together, a local organization that helps ovarian cancer survivors and their families, is holding its first Teal to Toe Walk on Saturday at Howard Amon Park in Richland.

Registration is at 10 a.m. The 1-mile walk starts at 11:15 a.m.

The cost, if pre-registered, is $25 for adults and $15 for seniors and children under 9, and includes a T-shirt and drinks. Registration at the event is $35. Participants are encouraged to gather pledges, a news release said.

Proceeds will go to the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research in Seattle.

Event sponsors include Columbia Basin Hematology & Oncology, Windermere Real Estate and Exceller Fisheries Inc.
