Letter: Focus on Benghazi shows congressional leaders are clueless

May 20, 2013

This letter concerns the House and Senate spending so much time arguing over the Benghazi embassy attack on Sept. 11, 2012.

Like former Secretary of State Clinton stated, "What difference does it make." After the attack, it was determined the best effort to prevent this in the future was to strengthen the security at our foreign embassies. Now, it seems a waste of time and effort to continue hashing this over and over.

If Congress put as much effort into immigration reform, or the economy situation, we would be much better off. It appears lawmakers don't have a clue about what is important and what is not.

I think we should vote all these professional politicians out of office and get new people in there who have the concerns of the American people as their main interests. It seems when they are there for an extended period of time, they are really only concerned about their pay, pension and benefits.
