Letter: Herald published 'snarky' column on George W. Bush library

May 19, 2013

My opinion remains intact that the Herald's selection of opinion columns more often than not leans way left. The selection of Democratic consultant Jason Stanford's downright snarky column on the new George W. Bush library for the May 1 Voices page makes my point.

On the other hand, it got me to thinking about the future Barack H. Obama Library. I suspect it will be quite small if it houses his positive accomplishments. I can envision the wings now: The Benghazi Foreign Policy Center (unguarded); the Obamacare Legacy Room (no exit); the Obama Economic Miracle Room (housed in the basement); and the "How I Fixed The Middle East Room" (to be built later). No doubt there will be a "Blame Others" section that will take up most of the space, perhaps even an Obama Leadership Wing (behind the actual building). The most active room in the library will be the Obama Golf and Vacation Room, filled with all his memories and memoirs.
