Two hurt in Kennewick stabbing

May 18, 2013

Three men have been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident early Saturday in Kennewick that sent two people to the hospital.

Abram Alaniz, 21, and Jacob Alaniz, 24, of Kennewick, and Franklin Parada, 20, of Pasco, were booked into the Benton County jail on suspicion of first-degree assault and first-degree burglary, a Kennewick police news release said.

Police are seeking information on a fourth suspect.

The victims -- a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man, both from Walla Walla -- were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police reported. They were inside an apartment on the 500 block of North Edison Street about 3:14 a.m. when multiple people forced open the front door and a fight ensued in which the victims were stabbed, the news release said.

Police responded and stopped a vehicle leaving the area, detaining multiple people. Police also found a handgun that had been thrown from the vehicle, the news release said.
