East sweeps SCAC softball

Ashley Thompson struck out 12 and Hope Sawyer and McKenna Mathis each drove in three runs as the Connell Eagles cruised to a 13-0 win over visiting Goldendale on Thursdya and into the SCAC district semifinals.

Connell (21-0) will play River View at noon Saturday at Hanford High School.
