Nuclear society meeting planned May 21 in Richland

The American Nuclear Society's work to bring nuclear facts to the public, the media, policy makers and students will be discussed May 21 in Richland.

Michaele Brady Raap of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, the new president-elect of the national group, will speak at a meeting of the society's Eastern Washington Section at the Shilo Inn, Richland

She'll discuss the society's Center for Nuclear Science and Technology Information and upcoming nuclear issues.

There is no charge for the 7 p.m. program, but those who would like to attend the dinner meeting an hour earlier will be charged $22 and should make reservations by calling 366-9632 or emailing by 4 p.m. Friday.
