Windy, cooler weather in Tri-City Monday forecast

A wind advisory has been issued for the Tri-Cities from 2 to 11 p.m. todayMonday by the National Weather Service.

A vigorous storm system with a cold front will be passing over the Mid-Columbia, according to the weather service.

Wind speeds are expected to build to 21 to 26 mph this afternoon with gusts as high as 36 mph.

Breezy conditions should continue tonight.

Temperatures will drop back into the normal range for this time of year in the Tri-Cities, according to the weather service.

Highs for the work week should be in the mid 70s in the Tri-Cities.
