WALLA WALLA -- Walla Walla Public Schools Board of Directors approved the recent resignation of board member Max Carrera.

His resignation will be effective Aug. 1.

In the fall, Carrera will be chairing the Lincoln High School location and facility committee and wanted to conclude his service on the board before the committee begins to meet.

On Aug. 2, the board will begin the process of replacing Carrera. Board application materials will be available at that time.
