Workshop meeting includes interviews with Parks and Recreation Advisory Council and Historic Preservation Committee candidates, discussion on a code amendment for airport zoning, an industrial pre-treatment program and traffic signal controller replacement plan.

Walla Walla County Commission, 9:30 a.m., commissioners chambers, Public Health and Legislative Building, 314 W. Main St.: hear a presentation from Steve Moss of the Blue Mountain Action Council on applying for grant money to do a feasibiliy study for a multi-purpose youth services center.


Benton PUD Commission, 9 a.m., 2721 W. 10th Ave., Kennewick: consider retail energy load 10-year forecast.

Franklin County Commission, 9 a.m., courthouse, Superior Court third floor Courtroom No. 2, 1016 N. Fourth Ave., Pasco: special meeting to discuss the classification of the White Bluffs bladderpod as an endangered species.

Board of Benton County Commissioners, 9 a.m., courthouse, 620 Market St., Prosser: public hearings on a Desert Winds wireless franchise and an ordinance related to public records and discuss groundwater, a pilot program related to jail mental health enhancements, WSU regional tree fruit and wine grape extension program, an update on an interfund loan to the treasurer's investment pool, an animal control update and discussion of a proposed Kennewick shop.

Port of Kennewick Commission, 2 p.m., commission chambers, 350 Clover Island Drive, Suite 200, Kennewick: receive a presentation on Columbia Drive and Clover Island and discuss Vista Field.

Richland Utility Advisory Committee, 3 p.m., library, 955 Northgate Drive: discuss the surcharge on residential solid waste utility accounts served by contractors, the water utility's financial position, alternatives for allocating tier 1 & 2 wholesale power costs and electric utility retail rate recommendations.

Richland Housing and Community Development Advisory Committee, 4 p.m., city manager's conference room, 975 George Washington Way: introduce new committee members and review the city's comprehensive plan housing element.

Richland Public Library Board, 5:30 p.m., library, 955 Northgate Drive: discuss conference attendance and Col. Franklin T. Matthias memorial.

Kennewick City Council, 6:30 p.m., city hall, 210 W. Sixth Ave.: receive updates from code enforcement and council committees and discuss curb tight sidewalks.

Mesa City Council, 7 p.m., city hall, 103 Franklin St.: discuss agreement with Franklin County PUD on easements, a generator maintenance plan, a contract with Big Bend for meter equipment and water meter usage rates.
